Current Event Exhibitors

We would like to acknowledge our sponsors and exhibitors for the 3rd annual Maritime Business & Technology Summit, Nov. 29-30:

Warfighters, law enforcement professionals, and first responders turn to Esri for the geospatial technology to access, analyze, and visualize complex data and get answers to what’s happening and where. Esri, the world leader in geographic information system (GIS) software, provides a wide variety of communities with a standards-based enterprise platform for servers, desktops, and mobile devices.

Innovative uses of GIS as a critical infrastructure include the Commercial Joint Mapping Toolkit (CJMTK), which the U.S. Department of Defense relies upon as the toolkit standard for C2I developers; NATO’s Core Geographic Services project for support of mission-critical and time-sensitive decisions; and the ruggedized, field-ready CJTMK Geospatial Appliance (CGA) that provides on demand, mission-ready maps using National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) geospatial data to warfighters, analysts, and mission planners.

Bellamare manufactures and commercializes remotely operated vehicles that can be customized to carry a variety of client’s specific payloads. Bellamare’s ISIIS towed vehicles have been specifically designed for plankton imaging and are used for fisheries research, marine biology and environmental impact assessment . The company also provides engineering consulting services to the oceanographic industry, with a focus on building custom underwater enclosures.

Marops is a wholly New Zealand owned ISO 9001 certified technology company specialising in interactive 2D and 3D graphics, training and technical projects.  Marops has experience in a range of industries; successfully delivering training programmes and technologically complex projects to the defence, aviation, rail, electricity and gas sectors. Marops markets the Teki Radar Detection System (RDS) and provides system design and integration, software development, project management and Operational Test and Evaluation.

Teki RDS was developed as a joint venture between Marops Ltd and the New Zealand Defence Technology Agency for the Royal New Zealand Navy. It has successfully completed operational test and evaluation on the Inshore Patrol Vessels and will also equip the Sealift and Amphibious Support Vessel HMNZS CANTERBURY.

Teki is a passive long range over the horizon radar detection system resulting from high sensitivity that provides continuous persistent tracking of all standard marine radars. It’s point of difference from other systems is that it has a unique algorithm that facilitates fully automatic monitoring without the need for an operator. It is therefore ideally suited to monitoring areas of high traffic density, for installation in small vessels engaged in surveillance of exclusion zones, fisheries protection or coastguard type duties or on Merchant vessels where a specific threat such as piracy exists. We have also recently fielded a land based system at Whangaporoa near Auckland, which is delivering some exceptional results. Identification is achieved to the level of fingerprinting a vessel by name over the radar horizon.

Marops staff and facilities hold Government security clearances allowing Marops to participate in a variety of Defence and surveillance projects. Marops has the backing of the Government to market Teki as a capability to ‘Five Eyes’ nations.

What we are looking for from the conference:

Teki RDS is small enough to be mounted in almost any vessel. The technology is well known to the military intelligence and scientific community through their information exchange fora, but now that we have an operational capability and Government clearance to do so we would welcome the opportunity to introduce it to enforcement agencies via the Maritime Alliance to help them deal with the threats they currently face and will undoubtedly face in the future.

MERUS CALIFORNIA
MERUS is dedicated to solving technical problems arising from the use of water.  This includes the treatment of drinking water, treatment of water in industrial settings, and treatment of water in ocean sailing vessels.

MERUS TECHNOLOGY has been able to recognize and harness the molecular oscillations of various fouling agents such as rust, lime scale, bio-films, bacteria including Legionella as well as algae. Using its proprietary technology MERUS has been able to create the counter oscillations to these fouling elements creating excellent efficiencies within water bearing systems thereby preserving infrastructure.

The MERUS ring or “collar” is easily placed around the pipe and does not use electrical connections & wiring or magnetic fields. MERUS TECHNOLOGY  emits oscillations that
travel throughout the pipeline and is also effective in dead legs. These oscillations travel faster than the water flow hence protecting the entire system from fouling agents.  The chemistry of the water is not changed, MERUS changes the behavior of the water.  MERUS can reduce and or eliminate the need for chemicals and it is effective on cooling loop systems, cooling towers, heat exchangers, and evaporative cooling systems.

This technology is currently in use by Cunard, Carnival, Hapag Lloyd, Thenamaris Inc., Boskalis, Finnlines, and many others.

MERUS is cost effective, green, and saves water and energy. MERUS CALIFORNIA is a US GOVERNMENT approved vendor.

MERUS is effective in against fouling problems in boiler systems, cooling towers, heat exchangers, evaporators, and water bearing systems.
